Students need a safe place to go after school. STAR Club meets that need for kids in our community. Not only is STAR Club a safe place, but kids are actively engaged, which gives them an opportunity to learn, grow and stay busy during those hours alongside an adult mentor who embodies the mission and vision of Millwood Impact. Mentors come alongside students twice a week and offer holistic care, which extends naturally to the families of the kids in the Millwood community.

Brandon Comella | Executive Director
For 12+ years, Brandon Comella has served middle school and high school students as the Youth Director at Millwood Community Presbyterian Church until he started Millwood Impact in early 2020. He and his wife have lived in the West Valley Community for many years and their two daughters attend West Valley Schools. Over those years he has built strong connections and relationships with the West Valley School District, Hutton Settlement, local businesses, and nonprofits like the Hub Sports Center and Young Life. Brandon has seen the importance of holistically caring for youth and families over those years and is excited to expand the work with what Millwood Impact is able to become.
Jeremy Clark | Program Director
Jeremy Clark has lived in Spokane for over 13 years and has a Masters of Arts in Theology from Whitworth University. He and his wife Holly have been married for 11 years and have 3 children. He has worked in nonprofits for more than 8 years, mostly with at-risk youth and youth experiencing homelessness. Over those years, he has worked directly with youth as a Youth advocate, served as a Volunteer Coordinator and has served as a Program Director. Jeremy is so excited to contribute to the mission, vision and values of Millwood Impact and to make a difference in the Millwood and West Valley community.
Peyton Prudente I STAR Club Coordinator
Peyton Prudente is a recent graduate from Whitworth University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communications with a minor in Theology. She has vast experience working with elementary schoolers, middle schoolers, and college students over the years, and is excited to continue working with students in her position as the STAR Club Coordinator. Peyton values creating sustainable relationships with the people around her and looks forward to using her skills and gifts in order to better serve the Millwood & West Valley Community!
Shirene Young | Board Member
Shirene has strong ties to the Millwood community through her 30 years employed at Inland Empire Paper Company. Her interests are to serve the community in and around Millwood. Her service has included participation in S.C.O.P.E. and Valleyfest boards and she is a founding member of the Millwood Community Association which operates the Millwood Farmers Market, Pumpkin Patch Community Garden and other Millwood events. Shirene and her husband Pat have six kids, two that graduated from West Valley High School. Currently two of their twelve grandchildren are students in the district.
Ellen Clark | Board Member
Ellen has lived in the Valley for most of her adult life. Her late husband's law firm has been in Millwood for decades and both of her children are West Valley graduates. Her grandchildren are currently students in the district. She retired as judicial officer in Spokane County Superior Court after 25 years of service, including Juvenile Court where she was proud to make a positive impact in the lives of families and children.

Alyssa Patrick | Board Member
Alyssa is passionate about impacting and empowering youth and families while valuing the importance of developing a strong, compassionate and committed relationship with the community. She works at The Hutton Settlement Children's Home, where she’s developed strong partnerships in Millwood, including the West Valley School District, Millwood Presbyterian Church and like minded non-profits.
Gene Sementi | Board Member
Gene began his career in West Valley in 1989 as a teacher and coach at Centennial Middle School and West Valley High School. Gene also served as the Centennial Assistant Principal, Orchard Center Elementary Principal, Centennial Principal, West Valley High School Principal, the West Valley Assistant Superintendent, and after a thirty-one-year career retired from West Valley as the Superintendent. Gene continues to be very connected to the West Valley and Millwood communities and is honored to be associated with Millwood Impact.
